Meet the team (the plants, that is)

Updated: Aug 9, 2018

Without these guys, I'd just be a girl at home, writing about all the plants that aren't in my living room. And that'd be weird. So I thought I'd introduce you to my little friends, and show off my plant collection. Each of these will get a separate post about how to care for them, but for now, here's an overview of what we've got:

'Monty' the Monstera Deliciosa

Also known as a fruit salad plant - how cute!?

Monty is the real MVP: crazy easy to look after, let's you know when he needs watering, grow new quick leaves every week, and looks so stylish and chic on my coffee table.

Monty fills my desire for instant gratification, tying my attention over whilst the other plants grow slowly but surely elsewhere.

'Fiddles' the Fiddle Leaf Fig (or Ficus Lyrata)

I'm a sucker for a bandwagon, and when I saw how popular these plants really are, I knew I needed one in the collection! They really are so classy and pretty, I'm just excited for him to grow quicker come the spring/summer time.

Sedum Burrito (or, Donkey's Tail, and honestly I can't decide which name is better.)

My little burrito was my first succulent, and actually only succulent (for now). Gifted to me by my sweet friend, my hopes and dreams are for this little guy to grow long, hanging stems to hang down my shelf! He's getting there too.

Peace Lily (or, Spathiphyllum Chico)

The plant that started them all! My neglected Peace Lily's rapid growth sparked my plant-loving reformation, and he's still kicking as we speak. He often looks a little sad, but with some water, he pipes up (don't we all? I prefer coffee though.)

Devil's Ivy (or, Money Plant, or Epipremnum aureum)

This guy's brand new, so I have nothing to report on his personality. But he apparently grows fast and aggressively (yay), and is near impossible to kill (double yay)!

Syngonium podophyllum (or, Arrowhead Plant, I think)

This guy is also brand new, and SO TINY. Honestly, does anything get cuter?! I'm excited to raise him as our own.

Well these are my plants, for now!

Beth
